Depending on the language you are learning, the list of stories can become quite long, so there are a number of filters to your disposal to limit the number of stories displayed in the list.
The filter selection is right above the list of stories, next to the sort order.
Here you can see if a filter has been applied to the list of stories. In figure 1, we see that the filter is set to show only stories that have been translated into the selected target language. figure 1: the filter display
Click on or hover over the filter to see all the filter options available (figure 2)
Hide read stories: the stories you have already read will not be shown in the list
Hide not translated stories: Only stories for which all sentences have translations available in your target language will show up in the list of stories.
Hide old stories: Stories from before 1945 will not be shown.
Hide easy/medium/advanced stories: You can hide stories from the list depending on their difficulty. You can only select two out of three options at once; once you have selected two the third one will be disabled and become red (see figure 2)
figure 2: the filter
To the right of the filter you can see how many stories remain in the list after applying the filter (figure 3).
figure 3: the filter count
Once you've set a filter for the list of stories, you will see an 'x' appear right next to the filter (figure 4). You can clear the filter by clicking on the 'x'.

Single story filter
When you stop reading a story you have the option to go directly to the story card for this story. In that case you will see a list with a filter that displays only this particular story. The filter will show 'only selected story' (figure 5).

To see all stories in the list once again, click on the 'x' to clear the filter. Alternatively, you can also click on or hover over the filter and deselect the 'Only selected story' option or click on the orange 'clear' button. (figure 6).
